ICS Kid's Art Festival 2009 – Award Winners
During ICS Kid’s Art Festival art atelier weekend in September, participants have created over 100 paintings portraying their visions and thoughts on this year’s festival theme “My Alps” inspired by the work of Ferdinand Holder. We were overwhelmed by the amazing creativity and the number of beautiful paintings which were done by children aged from 5 to 17 years old. Bravo to all participants!
In order to ensure a fair selection process and consider all the artwork done by kids of different ages, we have increased the number of nomination categories to a total of 16 and divided all paintings into two age groups: “up to 10 yeas old” and “11+ years old”. The selection of the winners was carried out by a 3-person international Jury Panel of art connoisseurs. All 16 prize winners were officially announced during the awards ceremony and vernissage, that took place on Saturday, 28 November 2009 at ICS offices.
Finally a 2010 ICS calendar was published with the winners' paintings and offered for sale during the vernissage. All proceedings from the sales of the calendar will be donated to The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation, a Swiss children’s charity helping disadvantaged children and adolescents.
