Peta Papas, jury memeber - ICS Kid's Art Festival

Peta Papas

Born in South Africa, Peta Papas studied Art History at the universities of Cape Town, Canterbury and Geneva. She has been working in the field of public art for the past two decades, organizing temporary exhibitions, working as Art curator and Art angel.

Having worked both as artist and in the art business world, Peta's understands art as a vehicle to enrich thought, and present art to the public to encourage people to look hard, at what surrounds them. That artists can easily sell their art work directly to the public is the driving force behind Peta's continuing dedicated good-will to exhibit young artist in alternative spaces other than galleries.

This unique concept falls under a project called “The Interstices” developed by Peta Papas, who organizes and selects the artists and helps them maintaining a direct contact with the public; without any commission. Peta is also serving as an active Board member of several companies dealing in artifacts and real estate.
